forest conservation

Since the SDGs were established in 2015 , there have been a series of abnormal weather events, which have significantly changed how we think about the global environment. Deforestation and environmental changes have led to an increase in natural disasters, putting our lives at risk.

Three important implications of forest conservation

1) Flood and landslide prevention

Forests help prevent floods and landslides: they absorb rainwater to reduce the risk of rivers flooding, and tree roots prevent landslides.

2) Habitat for plants and animals

Forests provide a habitat for many plants and animals, and are home to a wide variety of organisms, as well as the raw materials for medicines and industrial materials.

3) Mitigating global warming

Forests absorb carbon dioxide and help curb global warming.

Protecting forests leads to the conservation of the global environment. With our efforts, we can leave healthy forests for the future. Once you have a deeper understanding, the next step is to take action.

Organizations we support

Green Donation

We collect donations from companies, local communities, schools, and workplaces, and work with forest volunteers and NPOs to carry out a variety of initiatives, including forest creation and human resource development both in Japan and overseas.
